Q: How much does a lot and home cost in the first three phases?Homes with front attached garages, including house, lot and gst, start from the $400s. Side by side attached homes within the first phase start from the low $300s. Some paired homes will also be available in the first phase. Q: Who do I contact regarding future leasing opportunities in the Urban Village?

Q: What is the Mahogany Homeowners Association and what are the fees?
The Mahogany Homeowners Association will oversee the preservation of the community in addition to hosting year round events and programs. This organization will become the legal owner of certain community amenities together with the lands upon which such amenities are located. Fees are $400 per household per year for the front attached garage product selling in phases 1, 2 and 3, and the attached product currently selling in phase 1.

Q: How many show homes are there?
There are 8 front attached garage show homes, two per builder, by Jayman MasterBUILT, Sabal Homes, Stepper Custom Homes and Trico Homes, and 2 side-by-side attached show homes exclusively by Sabal Homes.
Q: What other type of product will be available in future phases?
Once complete, Mahogany will house nearly 25,000 Calgarians in homes ranging from inspired single-family move-ups, to exclusive lake-island estate living, to ranch-style homesteads and dense inter-connected urban villages.
Q: What’s the Information Centre?
The Information Centre is an opportunity for potential homebuyers to learn more about Mahogany, explore everything the community has to offer, and get a view in to Mahogany’s future through interactive kiosks, a three dimensional model, and Mahogany Ambassadors available to answer any and all questions.
Q: When will the lake be ready?
The lake will be accessible once the initial beach and private beach club are constructed, and the lake is fully-filled and operational; both of which are anticipated for completion in the 2010 timeframe.
Q: Will the lake be stocked with fish? If so, what is the time frame?
The lake will likely be stocked with trout, similar to other lake communities in Calgary, and will commence once the entire lake has been completed. This is estimated to be in the 3-6 year time frame. There will be a designated fishing area that will be separated from other lake activity areas.
Q: When can I buy a lake lot and how much will it cost?
Mahogany Lake features two private-resident, estate lot islands with lake-frontage and bridge connections to the larger community. It is anticipated that the first lake-access and lake-frontage estate lots will be available in the 2011-2012 timeframe.
Q: Are there any off-leash dog parks in the area?
Yes. There is a 10-acre off-leash dog park adjacent to Mahogany near the entrance off of 52nd Street.
Q: What kind of activities will the lake support?
The lake will be large and deep enough to support all but motorized boating pursuits, as well as swimming, paddling, floating and wading in shallower areas. Motorized water craft will not be permitted on Mahogany Lake.
Q: When does the new hospital open?
The new South Calgary Hospital is scheduled to open in the 2011 timeframe. Please visit calgaryhealthregion.ca for more information.
Q: Is there any noise coming from the Emergency Power Generator Building located on the North East corner of the South Campus Hospital?
When computer modeling was conducted, the exterior noise produced by the generators measured less than 40 decibels at the closest residence. There should be no impact detectable by those living in Mahogany.
Q: What information regarding the Southeast BRT is available?
