Mahogany’s spectacular 265-acre open space system weaves throughout the community and is one of its most distinctive features. Within the system, a network of large sports fields, smaller neighbourhood parks, wetlands and beach areas can all be easily accessed via a linking pathway, often after only walking a very short distance from home. MAHOGANY WETLANDS

This highlight of the community parks system features a ring of pathways and interpretive areas surrounding scenic naturalized wetlands, and is a destination for residents who wish to stroll, cycle or jog in a quiet, natural setting. Many species of birds and small animals will be attracted to the Mahogany Wetlands, making this the ideal place to spend a peaceful afternoon enjoying the beauty of nature close to home.

THE OLLERENSHAW RANCH

Nestled in the heart of the Mahogany Homesteads neighbourhood, this impressive amenity will provide lifelong learning opportunities for residents of all ages in a rural-like setting. Designed to honour the Ollerenshaw family, who lived upon and actively farmed a portion of the land that is now Mahogany, the Ranch will celebrate the land, its settlers and Mahogany’s remarkable agricultural history by adapting the existing farmstead for various uses and programs designed to provide a learning and hands-on experience for the residents of Mahogany.
