New LRT Announcement

Hopewell Residential is thrilled to share a new LRT funding announcement that will ultimately impact our bustling Calgary communities of Copperfield and Mahogany, and our future communities such as Hotchkiss.

Last week, the federal Public Transit Fund announced a $1.5 billion contribution towards a 50-km LRT line that will run north to south, connecting Calgary residents more quickly and easily than ever before.

The $1.5 billion pledge is earmarked for the city’s long-awaited Green Line, which is slated to run from Seton, north through Mahogany, and up towards downtown and North Calgary.

We’re proud to create communities that offer multiple access points to and from major transportation routes, and we’re thrilled that a new LRT line has been announced, as it will mean an even easier commute to and from the core for our homeowners and residents.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi says the LRT investment “will change the face of this city forever,” and adds the new line will accommodate upwards of 40 million passengers per year.

Details continue to emerge, but one thing is sure – this is great news for Hopewell Residential homeowners and residents! We’ll be sure to keep you informed as more information becomes available.
